Cultural Research Institute is a scientific and technical wing of the Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal. It is involved in conducting research and evaluation studies, seminars, workshops on various subjects relevant to Tribals, Scheduled Caste and Other Backward Classes of West Bengal. Moreover, it provides training and orientation to the State Government officials.
